What is the sequence for placements under either NCLB or under Parent Choice Lottery for next school year, 2011-2012?
Applications for High School are expected to be available in all schools starting TBA. They must be returned by January 28 to be included in the electronic lotteries. Placements for High School will begin in late February 2011. Applications for both Middle and Elementary NCLB and lottery will be available in all schools or on this website on TBA. They must be returned by February 28 to be included in the spring placements for NCLB or in any of the electronic lotteries. The High School lottery will be held in mid-to-late February and letters with the lottery results sent to parents in early March. The Middle and Elementary lotteries will be held in late March with result letters sent in early April. After the initial round of lottery offers are made, available NCLB offers are made. Both lottery and NCLB offers are continued until all vacancies are filled or the waitlists for a select school and grade are cleared of all applicants.
