What is the Senior Friendship Program, and who are the friends?
The Senior Friendship Program links volunteers 55 years and older with community members who need some assistance to live independently. Simply put, they do what friends do for friends. Activities could include visiting, going on errands, attending community events, working on projects together, getting information on community resources, or going for a walk. In other words, building a friendship! Volunteers can serve from a few hours to up to 20 hours a week. There is no charge to participants.
