What is the Security Deposit Protection Fee or Accidental Damage Protection Fee & how does it work?
This is a non refundable Accidental Damage Fee that costs $45.00 and is designed to protect the guest and owner from excessive charges. The Guest Damage Fee provides up to $500.00 coverage to repair accidental damages (beyond normal wear and tear) that is not caused by the willful misconduct. If damages surpass $500.00, additional charges will be applied to the credit card on file and written documentation will be sent for record. Some property management companies take damage deposits and hold the money until after check out. This process can leave your money tied up for several additional days or weeks and the full amount is rarely returned due to processing fees.
