The new vampire will take the default sect membership of the Clan of its sire. Example 1: Lucita (Independent Lasombra) creates an Embrace. It will be a Sabbat Lasombra. Example 2: Tegyrius, Vizier (Camarilla Assamite) becomes a Prince and uses the Third Tradition: Progeny. That Progeny will be an Independent Assamite. Example 3: Anka, Priestess of Thorns (Sabbat Ravnos) becomes an Archbishop and uses Creation Rites. That vampire will be an Independent Ravnos. See section 10 of the online rulebook for more information, and also see section 10 for the default sect affiliation of all the clans and bloodlines.
