The Mackenzie-Peace-Finlay is the second largest river in North America and is total contained in Canada. The largest river is the Mississippi-Missouri and is mostly contained in the US and a small portion in Canada. River lengths are always calculated with their head streams. However if you are just looking at rivers and not complete systems the Mississippi is the second largest.
