What is the Second Battle of Ypres?
The Second Battle of Ypres took place in Ypres Belgium from April 22, 1915 to May 25, 1915. It was fought between the Germans, and the British, Canadian and French who fought together as the Allies. It is historically significant because it was the first time chemical gas had been used in warfare, and also because of the exceptional courage and strength the Canadian forces displayed through the battle.
