What is the scope of services to be provided by the SSCs?

0

With the exception of strategic or designated functions specific to a particular agency, the SSCs will provide a suite of Corporate Services functions in the areas of Finance and Human Resources. These will range from transactional services such a payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable to more complicated tasks such as the preparation of agency tax returns or project costing, or the provision of HR advice and support in areas like workers’ compensation, performance management and employee relations. It should be noted that some services will be exclusively provided by the SSC, while others will be optional services that some agencies will purchase from the SSC, while others may provide these in-house or use a third party provider. In addition to Finance and HR, the SSCs may ultimately provide various Information Management services, and through the activities of the ICT Services Unit, support services relating to the Common Business Systems that will be used across agencies
