What is the scope of Mechanical Engineering and which is better-Mechanical or Aerospace?

0

Mechanical engineering seems to have two broad fields. The professional mechanical engineer who works for Engineering and/or Architectural firms or the mechanical engineer who works in industry as a product engineer/designer. The professional route involves designing and building systems the the public uses in facilities, buildings, structures, etc. It involves much responsibility and requires state license, much as lawyers or CPAs require a license. The product engineers work for corporations and design the things people buy. This can range from toys to automobiles to jet airliners. They usually don’t require a license. Aerospace is a specialized engineering that overlaps Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science and whatever else is required to learn about the intricacies of designing aircraft or spacecraft.
