A. The U.S. Bureau of Standards states in Bulletin No. 86: “It has been found that oils do not wear out mechanically and may be used over and over again. A mineral base oil is usually just as good after use as before, apart from the impurities, which are removed by filtering. The apparent results of all different tests is that a used oil, received in good condition and filtered with care to rid it of the material, which it may contain in suspension, preserves its different properties almost intact.” Chemistry and lubrication experts throughout the world accept this scientific fact.
