But first, I checked the BBB for both Simply H2O and Simple H2O as well as something called Pristine Solutions International (all the same company I believe) and saw reports as A-, B- and C- respectively. TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) – The E.P.A. and Canada Water Quality Association recommend that water for drinking contain no more than 150 ppm of any dissolved solid (be that calcium, lime, iron or anything “bad” for you either). The tester the salesperson used simply measures the total amount in ppm of solids in your water. This is not to say that a higher rating is necessarily dangerous or unhealthy however. 2. Chlorine is a very dangerous and unhealthy chemical for a very many reasons. The health consequences of ingesting even minute quantities of chlorine is unknown.
