What is the schedule for the 3-day summit climb?

0

The 3-day summit climb spends two nights on the mountain. The first camp is located at Camp Muir at around 10,000 feet. The second camp is on the Ingraham Glacier, at about 11,000 feet. Training is conducted en route to each camp, on the first two days of the climb. From high camp we have a shorter distance to go to the summit, and we descend back down to Paradise that same day. The advantages of the 3-day climb include two nights on the mountain for better acclimatization. Training is conducted during the first and the second days, en route to the next camp. Taking an extra day in approach doesnt alter the pace or the total effort involved, but does allow for a more relaxed schedule and more time to enjoy the experience fully. The high camp allows us to start for the summit a thousand feet higher than Camp Muir for an easier summit day.
