What is the scariest thing that happened to you while camping or hiking?
As a kid growing up in the mountains of West Virginia me and my friends went camping and selected a camp site that was next to some rocks that had a nest of Copperhead snakes. We did not find them until we had the tents all set up, etc. We must have killed at least 10 snakes when we found them. We should have moved the campsite but didn’t. Needless to say, nobody got any sleep that night.
