What is the scariest ghost encounter or similar experience that you have had?
Not a ghost encounter exactly, but… Some years ago I lived in a town that had a cyclepath connecting it to the next town, and I would cycle to and fro to visit friends, etc. One afternoon I was cycling home. Then when I got home, I heard on the news that a woman had been murdered close to the path where I’d been cycling. She had gone out for the night and on her way home, this bloke had stalked her, come up behind her and strangled her. He left her body in bushes near the cyclepath. She had been murdered late at night, and her body was found the following afternoon. From the time given in the news report, I worked out that I must have passed close by to where her body was, shortly before being found. That really scared me. I was cycling along, and there was someone dead a few yards away.
