What is the scale of the staff theft problem in Retail?
In the UK retail industry ‘stock shrinkage’ is a significant problem. According to the British Retail Consortium, in 2002 the value of retail crime has been calculated to be x2.25bn; 37% of which was theft by staff. TSSI’s fingerprint biometrics are being adopted by an increasing numbers of leading UK retailers to reduce stock shrinkage.
