The Satanic Bible was written by Anton Szandor LaVey in 1969. It outlines the true foundation of Satanic thought per LaVeyan Satanism. It hails the archetype of Satan as the challenger to blind social conformity. The analysis of the Christian church is very pointed and accurate, if scathing. LeVay was obviously heavily influenced by Aleister Crowley, but he was also very well read.
