What is the Sand in the Bottle Unity Ceremony?
Instead of the traditional lightening of the unity candle in a church wedding we provide a special and unique memento. You and your fiancé will add handfuls of sand from the beach at your feet into a heart shaped glass bottle. During this time our officiant reads a poem however we encourage you to provide a special song or verse that is meaningful to you. Children can also add handfuls of sand to this bottle so that it symbolizes a family unity.
