In general only one sample needs to be analyzed per heat batch but if you do not know how many heat batches are involved in a quantity of 2 million pieces, you need to find out number of heats by knowing capacity of the Manufacturer (i.e. furnace capacity / heat). If you know weight per piece, you can find total weight of 2 million pieces and dividing it by furnace capacity you can find number of heats. You can then select as many samples as the number of heats and all must pass the test in order for your to accept the consignment. For our chemical analysis, we need a 15 – 20 gm sample only. Depending on weight of each piece, you can decide number of pieces that you need to send us for analysis per sample.
