It’s not that simple. It depends on where you work, and how much experience you have. If you start as a junior waiter, with little or no experience in a small restaurant you won’t make more than a 1,000 in a month even if you work 50 hours a week and get tips. However in some places, service charge is added automatically (12-12.5%) to the price at the end of the meal, that amount is then redistributed so waiters make an extra 0.50-2 pounds every hour, plus the tips if they get any. I you’re more experienced you get more. Also if you work at a busy, expensive restaurant, you earn more. So, it depends.
