What is the safest way to get rid of ants and palmetto bugs in my birds room.?
We had a problem with this as well when we lived in the south… we purchased this gel (available in walmart in the garden department) that you put on cardboard squares and the ants and other bugs would come and eat it and within 2 days we didn’t have any more ants… The other option is to purchase the blue pellets that they sell in barn feed stores.. it is used to get rid of horse flies in barns but works wonders with ants and other insects. Any feed store will be able to help you find it. If you get the blue pellets, I would wrap them in a screen so the birds couldn’t get to it and place it behind something that the birds normally can’t get behind. The ants and other bugs will be attracted to it. If you use the gel, I suggest buying a room freshener (the kind you see in public restrooms that are circular and you can turn them to open the holes) and place the gel in there and stick it to the wall or the floor. This way the birds aren’t exposed to it. Both of these have worked wonders
