What is the RVC’s policy on gap years?
The RVC is happy for students to undertake a gap year, particularly if they plan to spend at least part of that year gaining relevant experience. If you are planning to defer entry in order to undertake a gap year and have specific plans that may support your application, you are advised to add this to your personal statement on your UCAS form. If you are planning to apply after your results (during your gap year), please bear in mind that you will need to be in the country for the interview part of the application process.
