Coorg or Kodagu is a district, on average it is about 250 KM from Bangalore (approx. 5 hours). The route to take is Bangalore -> Ramanagaram -> Mandya -> Srirangapatna (At Srirangapatna you can by pass Mysore city by taking a road that turns right from Srirangapatna and goes to Ranganthitu bird scantuary) -> Hunsur -> Gonikoppal (Coorg) -> Madikeri (Coorg District HQ). This road is a very good State highway, (SH 17), and 4-way most of the route.
