What is the rotten egg smell coming from my drains?

It is just the odor of the decaying sediment in the u-trap. The simplest way to clear the odor is to use white vinegar and baking soda; add 1/2 cup baking soda to drain and then pour in 1 cup white vinegar on top of the baking soda. Let set for 1 hour. When you return to the drain you will notice the debris has bubbled all over the sink, simply wipe with a paper towel and discard. Then pour 2 cups boiling water down the drain to flush final particles out. This should be done monthly and it will keep your drains fresh and free flowing.
