What is the Rosehill Recycled Water Scheme?
The Rosehill Recycled Water Scheme will provide high quality recycled water to major industrial customers in Western Sydney. The scheme will initially deliver 4.3 billion litres of recycled water per year to industrial and irrigation customers in Smithfield and Rosehill/Camellia. Using recycled water for industrial purposes helps to reduce the demand on Sydney’s drinking water supply. The Rosehill Recycled Water Scheme will include: Construction of the recycled water plant at Fairfield commenced November 2009. Recycled water should be available for industrial use from early 2011.
