The Centre in Turkey, aims to take the industrial development efforts to a regional scale by assisting the countries of the region with their endeavours on industrial development. Turkeys relatively well developed technical and technological capacities allows UNIDO to use it as a spring board to assist the broader region including the Balkans, the Caucasus and Central Asia. The centre continues its mission as a field office in Turkey in addition to functioning as a regional centre and provides technical assistance to Turkey as well.
