The role of the Operations Section is to facilitate the administration of the parole revocation hearing process. This includes: • scheduling hearings; • reviewing and acting on attorney determination requests, with appointment of attorneys when needed; • conducting preliminary and/or revocation hearings; • reviewing/processing hearing reports and waiver packets (for those who have chosen to forego hearings) and making recommendations for case disposition; • handling hearings and extradition matters with respect to out-of-state cases being supervised by Texas under the Interstate Compact; and • providing a process for reconsideration of a revocation decision.
