What is the role of the mentor?
A. The mentor’s role is two-fold. First is to perform certain administrative tasks such as handling applications for membership to the group. Second is to attempt to gently guide conversations and postings, to intercede in case of abusive behavior by any individual(s) and, if absolutely necessary, to occasionally ask an individual to either leave the group or to take a “vacation”. The latter is a very rarely used, severe step, taken to protect the safety of members of the group.
