A. The IVRS counselor specializes in vocational information, planning and services. The purpose of working with an IVRS counselor is to help a student identify his/her maximum potential for work and strive to achieve the best possible job to match that potential. The IVRS counselor will provide: 1. Outreach – sharing information on IVRS services, policies, programs and processes with educators, parents, students and other providers. 2. Employment Planning Consultation – providing assistance, strategies and creative ideas for identifying students’ post-school employment goal, service needs and barriers impeding goal achievement.
