What is the role of the Insurance Advisory Committee?
Under section 25 of the Act, the Authority can establish an Insurance Advisory Committee to advise the Authority on matters related to the making of regulations. Such committee shall represent the interests of commerce; industry; transport; agriculture; consumers; surveyors; agents; intermediaries; organisations, engaged in safety and loss prevention; research bodies; and employees” associations in the insurance sector.
