What is the role of the Alberta Utilities Commission, in this project?

0

The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) is an independent, quasi-judicial agency of the Government of Alberta responsible for ensuring that the delivery of Alberta’s utility services are fair, responsible, and in the public interest. The commission also confirms that facilities are built, operated, and decommissioned in an efficient, environmentally responsible way. AltaLink and EPCOR, the Heartland Project Team, will apply to the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) with preferred and alternate routes. If the project is approved, only one route for the transmission line will be selected by the AUC for construction.
