What is the role of Student Ambassadors?
A Student Ambassador helps students get acquainted with LBCC and college life. Ambassadors coordinate Welcome Back Greetings and Scholarship Workshops. They conduct New Student Orientations and Campus Tours. Ambassadors work in the Career & Counseling Center, with College Recruiters, in the Dean’s Office serving Veterans, and in the Student Life and Leadership Office, coordinating GoodWorks, volunteerism, and the LB Lunch Box emergency food program. In addition, Student Ambassadors reach out to students to help them understand the college process and to show them how to navigate LBCC. As students themselves, Ambassadors understand the student perspective and help the college design systems that help serve students better. They are here to support student success, student contributions, student ideas, and a sense of belonging. Ambassadors are the “go-to” person for students with questions or who want to “get connected.” If you want to reach a Student Ambassador, email them at Ambassador
