Solicitors & Legal Advisors A separate solicitor generally represents both the Seller and the Buyer. The solicitor draws up the legal documentation and handles all aspects of the agreement on behalf of his/her client. After exchange of contracts the buyers’ solicitors will prepare a detailed questionnaire for the seller’s solicitor to ensure that all aspects of the property exchange have been adhered to e.g. inclusions etc.. Both solicitors with prepare the type and form of legal documentation to be signed and handed over. Once all legal documentation has been signed and delivered, the Seller’s solicitor will hand over the deeds for release of the property; the Buyers’ solicitor will arrange the payment of stamp duty and register the new title document.
