What is the role of Reading is Fundamental and National Summer Learning Association?
Both organizations are long-standing partners with Scholastic, and are dedicated to teaching children to read and learn. Both organizations are joining as partners for the Scholastic Summer Challenge 2010. The National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) is providing access to key research on the importance to summer learning, and in addition, Scholastic After School is working with the NSLA on a program for their members around Summer Learning Day. This summer, Reading Is Fundamental Inc. (RIF) and Scholastic are launching a Give to RIF donation campaign on scholastic.com, designed to help raise awareness about Summer Reading Loss and raise funds to get books into the hands of children that need it most. 100% of the donation will help RIF put books in the hands of children.
