What is the Role of Project manager in financial management?
One of the roles of a Project Managers is to monitor the expenditure. Here it is important for him/her to know about the total and the break down of project budget. Then it will be easy for him/her to understand the available budget against the remaining period of project. For example the amount left and the % of remaining work should be equal. Other wise the budget will go away and the project will remian uncomplet or other way around the project will be completed but the buget will remain. If he/she is a good manager can monitor the budget and expenses monthly to control the expenditure. On other worlds it is a type of buget and expenditure monitoring which is one of project management tools.
