What is the role of Planning Division within the City of Tualatin?
The two principle functions of the division are long-range planning and plan implementation. Long range planning involves working with citizens and elected officials to help shape the future of the community, foster a quality urban environment, accommodate growth while understanding the historical context of Tualatin and its development. Long range planners within the City are also responsible for foreseeing community change, understanding regional relationships, and responding to external influences, whether they be federal and state laws or economic and social trends.
