What is the role of Native American mythology in the world of Dreamtime and Wakesleep?
If THEY physically kill Natives in Wakesleep their blood pours back into the earth and strengthens the ley lines. Literal death also gets too much attention in the press, so THEY devised a way to kill them in Dreamtime, which turns them into drug and alcohol addicts and renders them useless. The government and T.H.E.Y. can only control ley lines through Shamans, and it’s hard to convince a Native to betray their secrets. Sometimes T.H.E.Y. resort to kidnappings in Wakesleep, and Minx has a rescue mission in the waking world. Minx is part Native American by blood, so she is connected to the land and feels a responsibility to her people and to Mother Nature.
