What is the role of IBM and Sarcom?
IBM is the product vendor and Sarcom is engaged as their services partner to provide INITIAL delivery, installation, setup and basic system orientation for the end user. All hardware is covered under a 3 year warranty. Problems related to monitors, hard drives, overheating, power issues, etc. should first be called in to IBM at 1-800-IBM-SERV (1-800-426-7378). IBM is the first point of contact for any hardware issues. The IBM technician will request the make, model and serial number of the computer, and will also ask some basic questions to analyze the problem. Note that the model and serial number are just above the ThinkCentre logo located on the front face of your Desktop CPU, or on the backside of the keyboard of your ThinkPad Laptop.
