What is the role of governors and why do we need them when we have a Board of Directors?
A. The governors are an important element in making the FT work effectively. They act as a channel between the membership and the Board of Directors, drawing out members’ views and opinions and ensuring that these are communicated clearly to the Board. They also help to disseminate the vision and strategy of the Trust throughout the membership as a whole.
