What is the role of “Encoding” control?
There are two encodings available on client and PC applications: Static and Motion. Static encoding is doing compression of each frame separately before sending it to the PC. This encoding works best if you need higher picture quality or if there is a lot of action on the screen during your video capture. When you use Static encoding, you can specify Quality, Contrast and Brightness to emprove your shots. Motion encoding is sending to PC only part of the frame which is different from previous frame. This encoding works best for video capture where there is not many moving parts on the screen, for example, during the video chat. Therefore in Static mode frames per second (FPS) rate is almost constant, while in Motion state it varies depending on the amount of frame to frame changes in the captured image.
