What is the role of Catholic Charities?
In the days and weeks to come, and as more information is made available, the Catholic Charities USA Disaster Response Office will continue do its part to promote and advocate safe mitigation practices to agencies through information sharing, supporting current governmental efforts, and highlighting areas of importance to our network agencies. In addition to sharing the variety of information being made available through television, written, and audio media, as well as through the internet, the CCUSA Disaster Response Office feels it is important to take a moment to recognize the unique niche that it brings to the discussion. With the variety of programming CC Network agencies currently manage, the CCUSA Disaster Response Office recognizes it does have a unique role in H1N1 Flu discussions and activities where CCUSA should take the lead.
