Ayurveda has proved effective in the management of disorders like AIDS, Cancer, Dengue, Chikungunya etc. Acarya Caraka has said that dosa vitiation, Prakriti of the patient and Adhisthana of roga are to be considered while treating any disease. By considering these factors, specific drug regimens can be prepared for any disease. e.g. for AIDS, various Rasayana drugs like Guduchi, Aswanganda etc. are available which can raise the immunity of the patient. They are to be selected as per the individual’s requirement.
