What is the role of a MSC officer?
An ArtBeat Special Constable will be involved in policing objectives agreed in partnership between the Organisation and the police, however it is worth understanding how the MSC works generally. ArtBeat is Specialist Crime Directorate resource, usually supporting Specialist Crime Directorate and Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) priorities by working in trained, structured groups, and targeting art crime hotspots. MSC’s are each deployed in one the 32 London Boroughs, the Marine Support Unit or at Heathrow Airport. They can be posted to work anywhere in London.
