What is the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship?
The Robert C. Byrd Scholarship recognizes academically outstanding high school seniors who show promise of continued achievement in college. Awards are based on your grades and SAT or ACT scores and can be used at any accredited college in the country. The amount of the scholarship is currently $1,500 a year for up to four years. Applications will be available at high schools beginning in late February 2009. Each high school can nominate up to two graduating seniors. Individual school deadlines may vary, but all high schools must submit their nominations to the Commission by April 15.
