Well a skillet is like a fry pan but with deep sides, and works off electricity and a plug in with temperature controls. A benefit of using a skillet over the stovetop is that it saves us using a burner and is large enough to hold bigger amounts of food well. A skillet can be used for pancakes, stir fry, hamburgers, omlets and assorted eggs, chicken tenders, and more. The skillet area on this is a 12×12 square and is perfect for this family of 3. The cooking surface is made from Dupont Teflon nonstick. It has a fitted dome lid that resists heat and has a steam vent. There is a little window in the center (between the handle) that allows you to view inside.
