The Rising Star Scholarship pays tuition and fees for the freshman and sophomore years to students who are 2011 high school graduates and are full time students with a family taxable income of less than $75,000 a year. Recipients of the Rising Star Scholarship are required to have a 2.25 GPA after the first semester and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 to receive funds for the second year.
