Version 2.4.3 or above of the NTSMF collector solves all known issues with Windows 2000 systems. We strongly suggest you upgrade to version 2.4.3 or above if you are running NTSMF on any systems with Windows 2000 or Windows XP installed. While earlier versions of NTSMF version 2.3 and version 2.4 are compatible with Windows Server 2003, version 2.4.6 will perform much more reliably in many Windows 2000 environments. The new threaded architecture of the version 2.4.3 collection agent was specifically designed for Windows Server 2003 systems. It detects and recovers from most of the problems that are prevalent in Windows Server 2003 due to balky Perflib DLLs.
