What is the right tour for me?
First of all you should select the style of riding you prefer. MotoDiscovery classifies tours in these categories: • Road Tour – This means that one can expect the route to be paved all the way and that any make or model of motorcycle will easily negotiate the route. Cruiser, sport, dual sport or luxury tourer will serve your needs. • Expedition – You are required to have a dual purpose, on/off road motorcycle, four stroke and street legal. The Expedition is about touring, not competitive speed or trail riding. The degree of technicality varies with each event. Some may be suitable for two up riding but depends on the experience and spirit of the participants, especially the passenger. Some off road riding experience is suggested. • Light Adventure – This is a tour well suited for any experienced touring enthusiast. It will include only an occasional well surfaced but unpaved road.
