What is the right level of reparations America must pay to blacks for slavery? ?
Considering that slavery ended over 150 years ago we should not have to pay reparations to every black person unless you are willing to pay the same to every Asian and Irish who in some cases were treated worse than slaves since they were indentured servants. It was the Indentured Irish that did the dirtiest work in the South since they were expendable. Also, it was the black Muslims and the Europeans that started the slave trade so if you want compensation look to Northern Africa and Europe for the money they started it.
Reparations for slavery is nothing more than a joke. I would rather be able to lift my head in public. If reparations is to be paid put it into schools in poor black neighborhoods where the children our being lambasted by everyday life situations and under educated to do better and rise. I always believed that inner city children and children in poor neighborhoods should start school at 1 years old(in a safe, clean and well monitored environment just to gain a real head start. .) I know that slavery and the Jim crow laws after math did psychologically damaged the black mindset particularly since technically we still see ourselves as not accepted into American society now it is more of an issue of economics than skin color and we are not fully respected. (ie… Welfare is still seen as a black haven when now there actually is more white and Hispanics on welfare than blacks;Blacks don’t get accolades in the news for having lower teen pregnancy rates out of all the races now. ) I want my
