The Government has undertaken to a Review of Military Compensation Arrangements. The Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 came into operation on 1 July 2004 and it is appropriate at this time to not only review the operation of that Act, but also any anomalies that have existed within the military compensation system in general. The Government is committed to improving the military compensation system. Submissions closed on 30 June 2009. A report will be released after all submissions have been received and considered.
