What is the return time on first time home buyers tax refund check?
The IRS received our amended return on April 3 for the 8,000 homebuyers credit. We are still waiting – it will be 6 months Friday. I called to check on the status in July and the next week they sent me a letter requesting the settlement statement. I called again in mid September and the lady said my document hadn`t been reviewed yet. The next week I received another letter asking for 3 utility bills, a property tax statement and the deed. It has been a very frustrating process.
