What is the “Return Receipt (RR)” button in the new message window?

To request that a recipient notify you when they have seen your message, click on the Return Receipt (RR) icon in the new message window. Keep in mind that notification by the recipient is optional and Return Receipt only works if the recipient’s e-mail software supports this feature.
